Bar Stop Testing Dialog Box

Many short term investors use bar patterns as entry conditions and want to exit a trade based on the bar area of a certain bar of the entry pattern. For example, some investors like to use a island reversal up as an entry pattern, but want to exit the trade if prices drop below the island (the middle) bar.

When you drag in the Bar Stop icon, you first select the time period and enter the number of bars ago value that you want to use for testing.

You then select the area of the bar. In our above example, you would select the low bar area and enter 1 in the number of bars ago edit box to select the island bar.
