Number of Bars
Some indicators can be based on a certain number of bars for their calculations. For example, popular moving averages are based on a 20 bar, 100 bar, or 200 bar calculation. Investigator allows for the maximum flexibility in indicator calculation and testing by letting you specify and test any bar calculation you wish. The only limitation imposed by Investigator occurs when it is not mathematically possible to perform the requested calculation; otherwise, we encourage you to change the recommended values and try alternative calculations during testing and viewing, hopefully leading to more profits.
