The standard deviation operator calculates the standard deviation of the
Of What parameter for the number of periods (the Num periods parameter) that you enter. For a description of how the standard deviation is calculated, see the Bollinger Bands help item.
The Num periods parameter you enter must be a whole number (an integer) and cannot be less than 2 or greater than 100.
