You can recall, delete, and expand designer indicators, as well as see if a designer indicator is a sub-indicator of another designer indicator, by selecting Designer from the Indicator menu and Recall / Delete / Expand from the Designer sub-menu.
A dialog box appears showing you a list of your designer indicators that you’ve created.
If you have forgotten the operators that make up a particular designer indicator, you can highlight (click on) the designer indicator and then click on the Edit button. A dialog box will appear informing you of the number of bars needed to create the indicator. It will ask you if you want to add more bars. If you click yes, a dialog box will ask you for the new number of bars. You will then progress to the main designer dialog box.
If you want to delete a designer indicator, highlight the designer indicator and click the Delete Indicator button. A dialog box will ask you to confirm deletion of the indicator. Click Yes and the designer indicator will be deleted.
If you have a large collection of designer indicators, it is sometime difficult to know if one designer indicator is a sub-indicator of another designer indicator. To find out, highlight the potential sub-indicator and click the Sub-Indicator? button. If the designer indicator is a sub-indicator, a dialog box will appear with the name of the indicator that has the selected sub-indicator; otherwise, a dialog box will appear declaring that the designer indicator is not a sub-indicator of any other designer indicator.
When you create a designer indicator with lots of sub-indicators, the indicator can take some time to test, appear on a chart, etc. The Expand button allows you to create a more efficient indicator. Please note that once you expand an indicator, you will not be able to edit it. Once it is expanded, the expanded indicator will have the same name as the old indicator, it just will have the word Extended put in front of the old name.
