Designer Directional Movement
dmi(Num Bars, What, Num Bars Ago) What = +di, -di, adx, adxr
The Designer Ease Of Movement function will return the directional movement value for a particular bar. If you are using Designer Dialog boxes, when you type in “dmi”, a dialog box will appear asking you to enter the
number of bars and the
number of bars ago value that you want to use. You then have to specify whether you want to use the Plus Directional Indicator (+DI) value, the Minus Directional Indicator (-DI) value, the Average Directional Movement Index (ADX) value, or the Average Directional Movement Index Rating (ADXR) value.
If you are not using the Designer Dialogs, you would type in these values in the Indicator Editor.
